Foto: Jens Wolf\/dpa<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>En particular los ni\u00f1os mayores de los grados escolares intermedios se benefician de esto, seg\u00fan detect\u00f3 la investigaci\u00f3n a casi 9.000 ni\u00f1os llevada a cabo por la Universidad de East Anglia en Norwich.<\/p>\n<p>Otro hallazgo de este estudio brit\u00e1nico es que un desayuno y un almuerzo abundantes asimismo est\u00e1n asociados a un mayor bienestar.<\/p>\n<p>Los investigadores consultaron sobre el comportamiento alimentario de los menores. Adem\u00e1s, mediante tests investigaron factores como la alegr\u00eda, la capacidad de relajaci\u00f3n y las relaciones interpersonales para la evaluaci\u00f3n de la salud mental de los ni\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Otros posibles factores de influencia, como por ejemplo relaciones familiares problem\u00e1ticas, fueron tambi\u00e9n contemplados y controlados.<\/p>\n<p>En un comunicado, la jefa del estudio, la profesora Ailsa Welch, apunt\u00f3 que la alimentaci\u00f3n de los ni\u00f1os tiene incluso la misma o mayor influencia en el bienestar mental que cuando los ni\u00f1os viven frecuentemente peleas o incluso violencia en su casas.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan el estudio, los ni\u00f1os que no desayunaban padec\u00edan una falta de bienestar mental. En cambio, los menores que com\u00edan cinco o m\u00e1s raciones de fruta y verdura al d\u00eda obtuvieron las puntuaciones m\u00e1s altas, es decir que fueron los que mejor se sent\u00edan.<\/p>\n<p>Como regla dorada para la alimentaci\u00f3n, y no solamente para los ni\u00f1os, contin\u00faa vigente que deben ingerirse al d\u00eda cinco porciones de verdura y fruta. En este sentido se pronunci\u00f3 tambi\u00e9n la Asociaci\u00f3n Profesional de Pediatr\u00eda y Adolescencia de Alemania, que cit\u00f3 este estudio del Reino Unido.<\/p>\n<p>Y para quien quiera datos m\u00e1s espec\u00edficos, la asociaci\u00f3n brinda valores indicativos concretos: por ejemplo, que un ni\u00f1o de seis a\u00f1os debe consumir 230 gramos de verduras y 210 gramos de frutas al d\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>A la edad de 13 a\u00f1os, en tanto, las muchachas deber\u00edan comer 320 gramos de verdura y 300 de fruta diarios, mientras que para los varones se recomiendan 390 gramos de verdura y 360 de fruta diarios.<\/p>\n<p>Se acota que, en ambos casos, no necesariamente deben ser crudas.
